Offering a glass of chilled Prosecco is perfect as your guests arrive before the ceremony starts or if it’s a hot day have thirst quenching flavoured waters, these are a welcome change and look fresh and cooling.
Many couples prefer to leave the Prosecco for after the ceremony opening it at the aperitivo where a selection of light food is served.
Prosecco combines well with crispy focaccia, freshly carved Prosciutto, crostini with vegetable patè, fresh vegetables in tempura batter, local cheeses and salami and a other savouries which are locally produced goodies.
Once the ceremony is over it’s always great to see everyone relax and circulate and can listen to the difference in the sound of a group of people enjoying part of a really enjoyable destination wedding day spent together with friends.
Prosecco is easy to drink, it is fresh not too dry and not sweet which is why it works so well as a taste tickler or as the Italians say ‘stuzzica appetito’. The bubbles should be fizzing to the right point which is delicately without being excessively bubbly. ‘Bollicine’ as sparkling wines are refered to in Italy are an unmissable part of any celebration especially Italian weddings.

When supper begins with a toast so stay with Prosecco for this though you may decide to stagger the speeches in which case use the wines which you’ve chosen to accompany the first and main course or serve Prosecco again. Prosecco combines well with most flavours including creamy sauces, fish dishes, pasta dishes cheeses and nuts and especially almonds. In the Veneto Prosecco is drunk through out the whole meal.
Prices vary, as with any wine but happily there is no need to spend too much as a is reasonably priced Prosecco will please everyones palate maybe keep a few more select bottles aside to enjoy as you prepare for your wedding day, the bride with her briedsmaids and the groom with his party of friends and groomsmen.

Make it part of your wedding idea palate and choose the one which suits you from all the many different producers who have left their own mark on this unmistakeably Italian glass of effervescent delight.

Are your special friends are going to hand out the order of ceremony as guests take their seats? maybe you'll decide to leave them in a pretty basket for guests to help themselves or placed on the ceremony chairs so people will find them as they take their places.
Helping to create the right atmosphere on the wedding day is the work of a good friend acting as MC directing the guests and keeping them informed of what's going on as the wedding progresses.
I'll be around all the time as the wedding planner making sure that everything is running according to plan and keeping the MC updated on any changes that may happen, don't forget this is a live event.
As your Italian wedding planner I'll have been careful to go through all the timings well before hand so that the MC feels comfortable in his/her role.

I've known some great MCs. They've made guest feel welcome sometimes starting off with some general timing info and 'housekeeping' plus what's happening, where and when not necessarily all in one go just enough to make it easy on eveyone so the day flows smoothly.
He or she will get everyone moving towards the ceremony to be seated.
During the canapès/aperitivo they might want to help the couple organize any planned or improvised moments, as the afternoon progresses they'll announce that it's time to go through to supper.
They'll give you a big build up for your entrance as the newly married couple, when the speeches are being introduced they'll be the one to do this.
As supper draws to a close they'll call everyone over to watch you cut the cake and lastly tell everyone that the party is about to start and that they should make their way towards the dance floor and bar.
One of the best MCs I've met introduced the bridesmaids and groomsmen to a mellow live jazz backing with the grand entrance of the couple as the grand finale, she was fabulous, sophisticated and very slinky.
If your MC has a big voice it's an advantage but people have used a quirky idea to grab everyones attention, a small antique trumpet was a good means of doing this, bongos or drums.
Share the load use 2 people as MCs working as a duo making it fun, knocking jokes back and forth off eachother reflecting a good rapport that they have.

MCs are important because it closes the circle and makes the day more intimate, one of the party, who is easily recognisable is doing the announcements we're all together having a fantastic time in a beautiful place, a lovely wedding in Tuscan, it's fabulous.

Favours are always appreciated, who doesn't like to feel that they've been tought about?

Individual bottles of Limoncello look very pretty and fresh with a hand made label with the couples' names and wedding date on and an invitation to 'Drink me' or maybe just 'Salute' ' E viva gli sposi' ' Benvenuto'.
As your wedding planner we'll help you put all this together writing out the lables and tying them on with your guests names so that the favours are also place names we can even make the limoncello for you ourselves from our own fruit.

You might like your guests to find the favours on the table looking pretty and matching your table settings or you might like the limoncello chilled and served at a certain moment for toasting a speech either way it's a really good idea for a wedding favour.

It's been a beautiful warm afternoon and everyone is looking for their place at table, limoncello bottles are lined up next to each place waiting for your guests to sit down and enjoy the evening as the shadows lengthen accross the grass and the evening breezes carry the happy conversation of this much awaited moment. "Limoncello,how sweet! what a lovely idea, I'm keeping mine to enjoy later, no maybe not everyone else seems to be sitting down and opening theirs while we wait for the newly weds to make their big entrance.

On the menu you'll see cured meats, caramelised vegetables roasted in the oven, rich and fresh cheeses with bitter greens, chestnut flour pancakes with ricotta, Tuscan sausages or Pancetta, Wild boar stews with small dark Tuscan olives pickled in spices and served with gloriously golden polenta made from old varieties of maize. There are also game birds and venison roasted with bay and sage. Cannelini beans or chickpeas with rosemary, drizzled with freshly winter pressed olive oil and roasted in the oven.
Lots of freshly made pasta served in a light broth gollden and ivory. Glistening olives pickled with herbs.

The white wines are light and sparkling with a green tang, bright honeyed bouquets, light smooth or deep harmonious reds some aged in oak whith a long finish which you'll recall when you think back to the time you spent with your friends enjoying some very special time together unlike any other, a real contrast to the summer and all the better for that.
